The current heat wave gives us a perfect excuse to run some terrific summer menu items. 

Cool & refreshing, our Summer Fruit Soup is a perfect way to beat the heat.  An ambrosial blend of Pineapple, Cantaloupe & Fresh Mint, it's a perfect way to beat the heat.

Softshell Crabs are in peak season right now & we've got 'em.  Two of these crustaceans over a bed of greens make a great appetizer or a light lunch.  For heartier appetites try an entree portion with four softshells, lightly sauteed & accompanied by aspargus & tomato risotto, garnished with tasty shoepeg corn.

Don't forget - Mussel Madness runs every Friday, featuring all you can eat Belgian Moules Frites for $15.

Montclair Center Sidewalk Sale

This weekend promises loads of fun & excitement as the Prelude to Summer sidewalk Sale kicks off the summer season for Montclair's Central Business District.  There will be live Jazz on Church Street on Friday night & Saturday afternoon.  Lots of fun & games for the kids and, needless to say, delicious food offerings up & down the avenue.

Church Street Cafe's party central pavillion is set up right in the center of the festivities.  Stop by to listen to Latin Jazz,  check out the crowd, chat with Serge the Concierge or just hang out & grab a bite.

Church Street Cafe, which opened in August of 2004, is the product of the vision of Cheryl & Greg Spinelli.  After many years of working for others in the hospitality industry we decided to strike out on our own and create a special place where we might share all that we have learned about great food, service and ambiance.
